Hold Up...I'll talk to you in a minute...just let me finish this cigarette. You know,
I may be married, but I'm not dead.
This dude is FINE and I just know he's thinking about ME.
Whew!
Listening to Portishead 'Dummy' most of the day! Oh Yeah!
My favorites are the first cut, 'Mysterons',
#4-It Could Be Sweet and
#7 Numb
I was thinking of ways that you, my reader(s) could get the maximum value from my book.
I know that purchasing a book is an investment and you want some value, some return
(believe me I buy a lot of books!) for your money.
Of course, reading me will confirm what you already know:
I am provocative, quietly LOUD, an Aries, (shy):, i>u, the oldest of nine children--seven living, zaftig, bold, amazing, headstrong, a Grown AZZ woman, imaginative, i=u, creative, love to sleep, eccentric, funny when I feel like it, an actor, a loner, miss my Mommy....
I came up with 7 Ways to Get Value From my Book, as opposed to the temporary and fading pleasure
of say a movie. Add in popcorn, nachos, a soft drink, overpriced candy (well, overpriced everything)
and I'm beginning to look damn good! And I am!
Did I mention my book? 'Notes From the Mothership The Naked Invisibles'

Okay, okay already here are the magnificent SEVEN:
(1) Read the book!
(2) Lend it out!
(3) Write a Review (post at amazon, this blog, that blog, everywhere a blog, blog)
(4) Read it again, surely you missed something!
(5) What do you agree with or disagree with? How does the book (or me) make you feel? Think?
(6) Start a Salon in your home or at your favorite bar (I'm all for the bar) or a discussion group online.
In other words TALK! Socialize.

BTW, I attended an Obama Primary Party Celebration, Saturday night for the South Carolina primary!
WOW! Being there was like going to...New York City!
You know how when you enter NYC it seems that you are plugged into excitement and creativity, and the coolness of that city? I felt that Saturday in Cleveland! I felt part of something awesome and momentous. There were people of every persuasion and we were all excited and happy...and drinking!
It was effin fantastic!
I forgot to mention a GREAT book I read Saturday afternoon before the primary party.
It is by Harriet Rubin and named 'The Mona Lisa Stratagem.'
It is the Prince/Machiavellian/Art of War tome for women...and the men who love them.
This book has wisdom.
My favorite quotes from the book:
"...there is a contact of thought that seems so much closer than a kiss." --Edith Wharton
"Speak the truth to power lightly. Truth is what people want although it frightens them." --Harriet Rubin
"Who else can give you what you get from me?" --Harriet Rubin
